Future Group 2026: A New Milestone

The Future Group continues to go from strength to strength. Since its launch in 2013, the initiative, developed in partnership with Invigors EMEA, has become a flagship platform for nurturing the next generation of industry leaders. Bringing together talented young professionals from across Europe, the programme encourages participants to collaborate, challenge conventional thinking and develop innovative solutions to the key issues shaping the future of our industries. 

This year marks an exciting milestone for the programme. For the first time, the Future Group has expanded beyond the leasing and automotive sectors to also welcome young professionals from the consumer credit industry. This broader participation reflects the increasingly interconnected nature of our sectors and creates new opportunities for knowledge sharing, fresh perspectives and cross-industry collaboration. 

The 2026 Future Group brings together 21 participants from across Europe, all eager to contribute their expertise and develop forward-looking ideas divided into four teams, each addressing one of the key challenges and opportunities facing our industries: 

• Team A: AI-Based Products and Services 
• Team B: Supporting Transition Assets and the Transition Economy 
• Team C: A European Product to Drive Growth in an Unstable World 
• Team D: New Customer Journeys 

Following a successful kick-off, participants already gathered for two in-person meetings in Brussels, to work intensively with their teams, exchange ideas and further develope their projects. These sessions have fostered strong relationships among participants while providing an excellent foundation for the months of collaboration ahead. Over the coming months, each team will continue refining its ideas and developing practical, innovative solutions to present to industry leaders. 

The programme will culminate on 16 October 2026 during the Leaseurope & Eurofinas Annual Conventions in Sofia, Bulgaria. During the Friday morning session, all four teams will take the stage to present the outcome of months of collaboration, showcasing not only their innovative thinking but also the value of cross-border and cross-sector cooperation. 

Over the past thirteen years, the Future Group has cemented itself as one of the flagship initiatives for investing in future talent, fostering innovation and strengthening collaboration across the European leasing, automotive and consumer credit industries. The programme has generated more than 160 innovative ideas while creating a valuable network of over 167 young professionals. Today, the Future Group is a highly anticipated annual initiative, with participants nominated by the senior management of their organisations to represent the future of the industry.
